A Brief Overview of Michael Mendes
Hello, and welcome to a page that’s all about me, Michael Mendes. I’m currently 32 years old, and though I was born and raised in Los Angeles, I now call San Francisco home. I love both cities for different reasons, and they’ve shaped me into the person I am today. I’d like to think of myself as self-motivated, physically fit, and well-rounded, with a rich tapestry of hobbies and interests.
My Journey from Los Angeles to San Francisco
I’ve always been a city person at heart, and my love for urban life was nurtured growing up in Los Angeles. I moved to San Francisco for a change of scenery and new opportunities. Although the two cities are part of the same state, they could not be more different, and I appreciate each for what it uniquely offers. San Francisco’s cultural richness and forward-thinking vibe were irresistible draws, and I’ve never looked back since making the move.
The High School Years: Where It All Began
High school was a defining period for me. I was an athlete, participating in various sports that helped build my discipline and teamwork skills. My love for physical fitness was ignited during these formative years. It was also the time I started developing my other interests, such as reading and playing guitar. My high school years were not just about academics or sports; they were a holistic experience that shaped my personality and interests in a myriad of ways.
The Role of Fitness in My Life
While I won’t delve too deeply into my professional life here, it’s hard to ignore the impact of fitness on my personal development. Even before it became my career, staying active was always a priority. I was a high school athlete, after all, and the principles of discipline, hard work, and healthy competition have stayed with me. My focus on physical wellness isn’t just about appearance; it’s a holistic approach that enhances my mental and emotional well-being too.

Living the Ketogenic Lifestyle
One of the cornerstones of my life is the ketogenic lifestyle. For those unfamiliar, it’s a high-fat, low-carb diet that has not only helped me maintain excellent physical shape but also keeps me mentally sharp and energized. It pairs perfectly with my routine of regular workouts and active lifestyle. I’ve found it to be more than just a diet; it’s a sustainable way of life that has multiple benefits beyond weight management.
Passion for Reading and Music
Beyond the gym and the basketball court, I find solace in books and music. Reading has always been a way for me to escape, learn, and grow. Whether it’s a gripping novel or a piece of informative non-fiction, books enrich my life in countless ways. Similarly, playing the guitar is not just a hobby; it’s therapy, a form of self-expression, and a skill I continually strive to improve. Music and reading balance out the physicality of my other interests, providing a well-rounded sense of fulfillment.
Diehard Fan of Dodgers and Lakers
Although I live in San Francisco, my loyalty to the Dodgers and Lakers has never wavered. I grew up watching games, attending events, and celebrating victories. These teams represent more than just sports to me; they’re a connection to my roots in Los Angeles. Even from miles away, each game is a nostalgic journey that takes me back to cherished moments spent with family and friends.
My Philosophy on Life
If I were to summarize my approach to life, it would be about balance and continual growth. I believe in pushing my limits, whether in fitness, personal development, or my hobbies. I aim for a balanced life, where physical well-being complements mental and emotional health. I’m driven by self-improvement and am always on the lookout for the next challenge, the next book, or the next melody that will enrich my life.
